About Our Speaker

Don Goldberg, Partner & Co-Founder, Bluetext

Don has a unique combination of experience that includes his first career as an investigative reporter, working with the Pulitzer-prize winning journalist Jack Anderson, where he gained experience in both print and broadcast, working in the political arena on Capitol Hill and in the White House Counsel’s office, and working with attorneys in a legal setting where he brings together the legal and communications strategies and therefore has a first-hand understanding of reporters work and what types of information they are seeking when working on investigative articles.

In 1996 Don was asked to join the staff of the Clinton White House as Special Assistant to the President. In that role, he was responsible for helping to manage the various investigations into the White House and the Administration, working with and responding to Congress and the media. He was one of the key members of the team that handled the Monica Lewinsky and impeachment proceedings.

Since leaving the political world, he has provided strategic communications consulting to companies and organizations facing public scrutiny, media and Congressional investigations, and threats to their reputations. As a result, he brings to Bluetext clients experience as a journalist, as a high level staff member for both Congress and the White House, and as a consultant in the private sector, a combination that allows him to bring the perspective of journalists, Congressional Committees, and political operatives.
