About The Exhibit
“Canter & Crawl: The Glass Sculptures of Joan Danziger" are now in a solo exhibit at the National Sporting Library & Museum in Middleburg, Virginia. Joan's latest body of work is inspired by the spirit of the horse and the jewel-like nature of insects. Danziger, a DC-based artist of over fifty years, creates a sensory experience by building three-dimensional wire armatures, many intertwined with shades of stained glass that are carefully scored and broken or colored wire. The vibrant wire and glass-shard sculptures glisten in the galleries.
