The Charter 100 of Washington, DC is a nonprofit, social organization founded in 1983 to connect accomplished women from various fields.
Who We Are
Our mission is to identify and bring together business, professional, artists and civic leaders of outstanding accomplishments in diverse fields to create a stimulating forum for sharing ideas, successes, and experiences. We are advocates of a system of support and assistance to one another, a system that crosses industry and sector boundaries. And, finally we are champions of friendship built upon professional respect.
Charter 100 DC reflects the uniqueness of Washington, D.C. While our membership comes from a wide variety of professions, we have a substantial number of women who hold or have held important positions in the public and private sectors. Our noncareer interests are as varied as art collecting and parasailing. No matter how diverse our backgrounds and life pursuits are, we are all dedicated to continuing our professional growth and to helping one another do so as well.
Membership is by invitation only. Charter 100 seeks women who have established themselves professionally or who show promise in their fields.
Events
Charter 100 DC members enjoy monthly luncheons that offer opportunities to hear from guest speakers of national prominence. These programs on timely issues enlighten and inform members and provide an open forum for the exchange of ideas.
Members also enjoy special events and the unique opportunity to explore the cultural richness the DC area offers. The organization strives to create a community that is inclusive and diverse. Each December members celebrate the holidays and the New Year at an annual tea.
